The Life of Chuck has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes, and it marks the best Stephen King adaptation score since 2017. Direected by Mike Flanagan, who is best known for projects like The Haunting of Hill House (2018), Doctor Sleep (2019), and Midnight Mass (2021),The Life of Chuck is based on King’s novella of the same featured in his If It Bleeds collection from 2020. The upcoming film stars Tom Hiddleston as Charles Krantz with a story that chronicles three distinct chapters in his life.
Following its premiere at TIFF, The Life of Chuck has now debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 85% with 20 reviews. This score is sure to fluctuate as more reviews are added, but this currently makes it the highest scoring King adaptation since 1922 (2017), which sports an impressive 92% score.
