The Batman actor joins Glen Powell in Edgar Wright’s adaptation of The Running Man. Stephen King’s 1982 novel, which was originally published under the pen name Richard Bachman and adapted into the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, follows a man who competes in a dangerous game show in which contestants are pursued by professional killers. A Running Man remake is on the way, directed by Edgar Wright, with a cast that already includes Glen Powell, Josh Brolin, Karl Glusman, Katy O’Brian, Daniel Ezra, and Lee Pace.
Now, the cast is continuing to grow with the addition of an actor from The Batman. According to Deadline, Jayme Lawson is the latest to join the cast of Edgar Wright’s adaptation of The Running Man. She will play the key role of Sheila, the wife of Glen Powell’s character, Ben.
