An exciting The Fantastic Four: First Steps set photo shows two of the team’s members and teases their space suits. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally introduce the team that is commonly known as Marvel’s First Family in the comics. The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ star-studded cast is currently shooting the anticipated 2025 movie. After set photos of Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch recently made their way online, Marvel decided to share an official look at two of the movie’s main characters.
On Twitter, the official Marvel Comics account shared a set photo from The Fantastic Four: First Steps that features Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby dressed as the MCU’s Reed Richards and Sue Storm alongside Marvel Comics creatives.
Just like James Gunn had done for next year’s Superman reboot from DC, Marvel Studios has taken comic book creators who have been involved with the Fantastic Four to watch as the MCU’s reboot of the team unfolds on set. While the set photo does not reveal any new story details from the Fantastic Four reboot, it shows Reed and Sue in costume and the team’s space suits.

The Marvel Team Has A Connection To Space
When Marvel announced the cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the studio shared official concept art of the actors as their MCU characters. In the image, a portrait of Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Ben Grimm can be seen, with the actor wearing a regular NASA astronaut suit. Now, the new Fantastic Four set photo shows a different kind of space suit for the members of the superhero team. In the top right corner of the MCU set photo, white and blue Fantastic Four space suits can be seen.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps brings Marvel’s First Family to the MCU, and after the reveal of a unique costume, I think a major change is coming.
While the Marvel characters get their power from being exposed to cosmic rays in space, it has already been revealed that the MCU movie will not be focusing on the Fantastic Four’s origin story. The Future Foundation has been teased to play a role in the Fantastic Four reboot. Given the nature of the scientific team and the Fantastic Four’s connection to space, it seems like the 2025 MCU movie will feature some level of space exploration. With Galactus and the Silver Surfer confirmed for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it makes sense for the team to venture into space.
Our Take On The Fantastic Four Space Suits
It Seems Like The Main Fantastic Four Costumes And The Space Suits Share An Element
While it is hard to tell for sure, as the Fantastic Four space suits can’t be fully seen, both suits in the new set photo seem to have small changes between them. That would follow the pattern of the main Fantastic Four costumes, as the MCU will have each member of the team seemingly wear unique Fantastic Four suits. That can be easily noticed by looking at the official The Fantastic Four: First Steps concept art from the cast’s announcement and set photos of Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch, and I’m excited about each Fantastic Four hero having their own style.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the first MCU movie to feature Marvel’s First Family in the same live-action universe as the Avengers. It introduces the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm, and precedes Phase 6’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
