2 Guns is climbing the charts on Netflix. The 2013 Mark Wahlberg action movie featured the star playing Michael “Stig” Stigman, a special ops officer with the U.S. Navy opposite Denzel Washington as DEA Special Agent Bobby Trench. Both have been working undercover in narcotic, unknown to the other, which causes an incident that forces them to go on the run with only each other as backup. When it premiered, the movie grossed $131.9 million worldwide against its $61 million budget.
Now, 2 Guns has landed on the daily chart of the Top 10 most-watched movies on Netflix in the United States. The movie appeared at No. 6 on the chart on Saturday, October 5, with all but one movie (the No. 1 title, Illumination’s Sing) above it being newly added releases on the platform. Those movies were Escape Plan at No. 5, The Garfield Movie at No. 4, The Mechanic at No. 3, and the new Netflix exclusive The Platform 2 at No. 2.
