Denis Villeneuve addresses Dune 3‘s big time skip and how that poses a casting challenge. Villeneuve is the director of 2021’s Dune and this year’s Dune: Part Two, which adapt the first novel in Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi series. Dune: Part Two was met with great reviews and box office success, passing the first one’s total by a wide margin. Since then, Dune 3 has been confirmed, and is set to have a release date of December 18, 2026.
