Where Will Hugh Jackman Appear As Wolverine Next In The MCU?
Jackman Can Return In Multiple Movies
Thanks to the ending of Deadpool & Wolverine, Marvel will be able to use Jackman as the beloved X-Men hero once again for future movies. Despite dodging the question in multiple interviews, it seems likely that Jackman has had conversations with Marvel Studios about more appearances. If anything, the success of Deadpool & Wolverine is bound to have prompted those talks, and might have even expedited them.
At this point, with all the remaining projects Marvel has left in The Multiverse Saga, there is a very good chance that Jackman will reprise the role of Wolverine in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. It would be a wasted opportunity to not have Logan in the two biggest films of Phase 6, especially as it will likely bring other Marvel multiverse players into the fold. If Jackman’s Wolverine got to meet Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, that would be a massive moment for fans who followed the Marvel movies of the 2000s era.
Since Marvel Studios is working on the X-Men reboot, Phase 6 would be the proper time for Jackman to make his final Wolverine appearances before they recast the role for the MCU’s main timeline. With Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars looking to go full out for The Multiverse Saga, it would be genuinely fun to see how Jackman’s Wolverine fits in with other characters. For now, time will tell what is next for Jackman and Wolverine both following Deadpool & Wolverine.
