Screen Rant is proud to announce that Lionsgate’s new R-rated thriller, Cellar Door, will be released in select theaters, on Digital, and On Demand on November 1. The film follows a city-dwelling couple who opt to move to the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, hoping for a fresh start. The movie stars Scott Speedman and Jordana Brewster as John and Sera, with Laurence Fishburne, Chris Conner, Katie O’Grady, and Randy Sean Schulman making up the rest of the main cast. Speedman is known for The Strangers, Grey’s Anatomy, and Underworld, while Brewster is featured in The Fast and the Furious. More About Lionsgate’s Thriller Cellar Door

Written by Sam Scott and directed by Vaughn Stein

The Cellar Door trailer opens with John promising Sera that they’ll find the perfect house and live the life of their dreams. The couple is referred to Laurence Fishburne’s character, Emmett, and the two visit his grandiose property. While confused by his generous gift and odd condition, they embrace the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. However, as the trailer continues, the tone shifts from blissful to trepidatious, and what may lie within the cellar weighs heavily on John’s and Sera’s minds.

Cellar Door is written by Sam Scott and directed by Vaughn Stein. Stein is no stranger to the thriller genre and has worked on projects such as Terminal, Inheritance, and Every Breath You Take. His newest venture is sure to keep viewers on their toes, with the synopsis warning that the house is full of deep, dark secrets. It’s uncertain whether John and Sera will make it out alive, or if they’ll be forced to learn that nothing comes without a price.

Cellar Door will be available in select theaters, on Digital, and On Demand on November 1.
