Screen Rant is proud to present exclusive first-look images of the new ensemble dramedy, Lost & Found in Cleveland, which premieres at the Newport Beach Film Festival on Saturday, October 19. It follows a group of characters whose lives become intertwined when an antiques appraisal television show makes the surprising decision to film in their city. The movie takes place over a 24-hour period, with the official synopsis stating that the American fable is “about the post-Industrial American Dream in the Industrial Midwest.” Check out new stills from the movie below, which provide a glance at what to expect when the series comes to Cleveland:
Lost & Found in Cleveland is the directorial debut of filmmakers Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak, who also serve as writers and producers. However, the duo is well-versed in the entertainment industry and both have several acting credits to their names. Guterman was nominated for Leading Actress in a Special, TV Movie, or Mini-Series and has been featured in The Mentalist and Criminal Minds. Meanwhile, Gerchak has worked on over fifty stage productions in addition to films such as The Derby Stallion and The Fortune Theory.
Lost & Found In Cleveland Has A “Star-Studded” Cast
Award winners such as Martin Sheen and June Squibb lead the film.
Lost & Found in Cleveland stars Golden Globe, Emmy, and BAFTA winner Martin Sheen, who is known for his roles in The West Wing and Apocalypse Now. The cast also includes Dennis Haysbert, June Squibb, Stacy Keach, Liza Weil, Santino Fontana, Esther Povitsky, Yvette Yates Redick, Jon Lovitz, and more. Tony winners Kevin McCollum and Hunter Arnold serve as executive producers. Here’s what Guterman had to say about what makes the movie a “hidden treasure”:
We all have something in our attic that has value well beyond the sticker price. Lost & Found in Cleveland is a celebration of often overlooked objects, people and dreams. Filmmaking and antiquing are both efforts in collecting and curating memories in the ultimate hope for connection, preservation and legacy. Hidden treasures come in all different forms — we think this film is one of them.
Film Festival Co-Founder & CEO Gregg Schwenk is also looking forward to the movie’s debut, calling Lost & Found in Cleveland a “delightful and universal film.” The Newport Beach Film Festival runs October 17–24 and tickets to the premiere can be purchased on September 17 on the festival’s website. On September 16, Deadline dropped the first official trailer, which viewers can watch below.
